a candle is held 3 cm away from a concave mirror of radius of curvature 24 cm. what will be the distance of image from mirror??

Hello cutie❤️ Here is your answer..

Object Distance(u) = 3 cm (Negative)

Radius of the Curvature = 24 cm.

∴ Focal Length = R/2

= 24/2

= 12 cm (negative)

Using the Mirror's Formula,

\frac{1}{f} = \frac{1}{v} + \frac{1}{u}

\frac{1}{-12} = \frac{1}{v} + \frac{1}{-3}

⇒ v = 4 cm

∴ Distance of the Image from the Mirror is 4 cm (Positive).

Since, The Image Distance is positive, thus the Image is Real.
