A car A of mass 1500kg travelling at 25 m/s collides with another car of mass 1000kg travelling at 15m/s in the same direction. After collision the velocity of car A becomes 20 m/s Calculate the velocity of car B after collision

FORMULA - m1 * u1 + m2 * u2 = m1 * v1 + m2 * v2
 GIVEN -
   m1 = 1500kg
   m2 = 1000kg
   u1 = 25 m / s
   u2 = 15 m / s
   v1 = 20 m / s

NOW,USING THIS FORMULA

1500 * 25 + 1000 * 15 = 1500 * 20 + 1000 * v2
37500 + 15000 = 30000 + 1000v2
52500 = 30000 + 1000v2
52500 - 30000 = 1000v2
22500 = 1000v2

THEREFORE , 
         v2 = 22500 / 1000
              = 22.5 M/S
