A car accelerates from 36 km/h to 90 km/h in 5 s on a straight rod. What was its acceleration in m/s2 and how
far did it travel in this time? Assume constant acceleration and direction of motion remains constant.

Explanation:

By applying then formula

v=u+at

where

u=36km/h

=36*5/18. for converting to m/s

=2*5=10m/s

v=90km/h

=90*5/18. for converting to m/s

=5*5

=25m/s.

t=5s

so

25=10+a5

25-10=5a

a=15/5

a=3m/

Now we will apply the formula of s=ut+1/2at²

so s=10*5+1/2 *3*5²

s=50+75/2

s=175/2

s=87.5m

Thank you

Hey ur Answer:-

Explanation:

To convert km/h to m/s=5/18

Initial velocity(u) =36×5/18=10m/s

Final velocity (v) =90×5/18=25m/s

Time given =5s

To find acceleration =v-u/t

=25-10/2

=15/2

=7.5m/s²
