(1) to find the acceleration:

$v = u + at$

since u is zero, v=at thus a = 8km/hr^2.

(2) average velocity= 72 divided by 2

=36km/hr.

(3) to find the distance:

$s = ut + \frac{1}{2} at {}^{2}$

thus the answer is 324km.
