A car C moving with a speed of 65km/h on a straight road is ahead of motorcycle M moving with the speed of 80 km/h in the same direction.

let V_C velocity of car with respect to ground and V_M is velocity of motorcycle with respect to ground.

i.e., V_M = 80km/h and V_C = 65 km/h

so, velocity of M relative to C , V_{MC}=V_M-V_C

= 80 km/h - 65km/h

= 15km/h

hence, velocity of motorcycle relative to car is 15 km/h
