Distance travelled in 42 litres petrol = 357 km

=> Distance travelled in 1 litre petrol = 357 / 42

= 8.5 km

=> Distance travelled in 12 litre petrol = 8.5 × 12 km

= 102 km

In 1 litre of petrol, car can cover =  \frac{357}{42}

In 12 litre of petrol, Car can cover  \frac{357*12}{42}

In 12 Litre, car can cover =  \frac{4248}{42}

In 12 litre of petrol, Car can cover 102 km
