Distance can be travelled in 15 litres of petrol = 240 km ∴ Distance can be travelled in 1 litre of petrol = 240/15 km = 16 km ∴ Distance can be travelled in 25 litres of petrol = (25 × 16) km = 400

for finding out this u have to divide 240 by 15.

u will get 16km means for per liter

and know to get first answer u have to multiply 25liter by 16km

u will get 400km

means u can cover 400km by 25 liter

and know to cover 160 km u have to divide  16 by 160 u will get 10 litre

therefore, 10 liter is required to cover 160 km

Hope it is helpful!
