A car completed a journey of 5000 km. First 2000 km at 40 km/hr then next 1500 km at 60 km/hr and rest at 30 km/hr. Calculate the average speed of the journey?

Average speed = Total distance / Total time

Here, Total time = 2000/40 + 1500/60 + 1500/30 = 50 + 25 + 50 = 125 hrs.

Avg. speed = 5000/125 = 40 km/hr.
