Something happens in the past/present and future.We express such actions in different tenses. Broadly speaking there are three types-present, past and future. Each one is further divided into four: Present: simple present, present progressive, present perfect and present perfect progressive.


Verbs come in three tenses: past, present, and future. The past is used to describe things that have already happened (e.g., earlier in the day, yesterday, last week, three years ago). The present tense is used to describe things that are happening right now, or things that are continuous.

tense is a verb which tells us about the time of action.

tense are of 3 types; past, present, future

and each  tense has 4 types- present indefinite

present continous ,present perfect and present perfect continous and so with other 2 types ; past indefinite, past perfect etc..
