A car consumes 15 l of petrol to cover 270 km. (4) i) how much petrol will it consume to cover 180 km? Ii) if the cost of petrol is rs. 42 per litre, what will be the expenditure on petrol when the car covers 360 km ?

according to question :-

270 km = 15l

i) 180 = 15/270*180 = 5*180/90 = 5*2 = 10 L

ii) 360 = 15/270*360 = 15*3/4 = 45/4 = 11.25 L

so if 1 L = ₹42

then 11.25 L = 42*11.25 = ₹472.5
