QUESTION:-

A car covers 195km in 3 hours while a train covers 650 km in 5 hours . Find the ratio of the speed of the car to the speed of the train

SOLUTION:-

Speed  \:  \: of \:  \:  the  \:  \: car =  \frac{distance}{time}

 =  \frac{195}{3}  = 65km/hr

Speed  \:  \: of  \:  \: the \:  \:  train= \frac{distance}{time}

 =  \frac{650}{3}  = 216.66km/hr<br /><br /><br />

Ratio of the car of car to the speed of train=65/216.6

=0.3 km/hr

your answer is - - - -

speed of car:-

195/3= 65 km

speed of train:-

650/5= 130km

so, ratio:-

speed of car:speed of train

=65:130

=1:2
