\huge{\underline{\purple{\rm{Solution:}}}}

\large{\underline{\red{\rm{Given:}}}}

Distance covered in 1st 2 hours=100km

Distance covered in next 1st hours=120km

Distance covered in next 1/2 hours=32km

\large{\underline{\red{\rm{Time\: taken:}}}}

  • In 1st state=2 hours
  • In 2nd state=1 hours
  • In 3rd state=1/2 hours

\small{\underline{\red{\rm{Now,\: calculate\: Total\: Distance\:and\:time:}}}}

\rm{\implies Total\: Distance=100+120+32}

\rm\green{\implies Total\: Distance=252\:km}

\rm{\implies Total\: Time=2+1+0.5}

\rm\green{\implies Total\: Time=3.5\: hours}

  • \rm{\implies Using\: formula\:for\: speed}

\small{\boxed{\red{\rm{Speed=\dfrac{Distance}{Time}:}}}}

\rm{\implies Speed=\dfrac{252}{3.5}}

\rm{\implies Speed=\dfrac{252*10}{35}}

\rm{\implies Speed=\dfrac{2520}{35}}

\rm\green{\implies Speed=72\:km/h}

\rm{\implies Now,\: convert\: speed\:in\:m/s}

  • To convert speed km/h into m/s
  • we have to multiple by 5/18

\rm{\implies Speed=\dfrac{5}{18}*72}

\rm\green{\implies Speed=20\:m/s}

Hence,

\rm\red{\implies The\:Speed\:of\:car=20\:m/s}

GiVeN :-

  • Distance travelled in first 2 hours = 100 km

  • Distance travelled in next 1 hour = 120 km

  • Distance travelled in next 1/2 hour = 32 km

To FiNd :-

  • Speed of the car in m/s.

SoLuTiOn:-

We know that,

Speed =  \frac{Total \: Distance \: travelled}{Total \: Time \: Taken}

So,

 \implies \: Speed \:  =  \frac{100 + 120 + 32}{2 + 1 + 0.5}  \\  \\  \implies \:  \frac{252}{3.5}  =  \frac{36}{0.5}  = 72

Now,

Speed = 72 km/h

And

We know that when we have to change km/h in m/s we have to multiply it by 5/18 and from m/s in km/h we have to multiply it by 18/5.

So,

</u></em></strong><strong><em><u>S</u></em></strong><strong><em><u>peed \:  = 72 \times  \frac{5}{18}  = 20m {s}^{ - 1}
