Initial speed u = 60km/h = 60 X 5/18 = 16.66m/s

Final speed v = 40km/h = 40 X 5/18 = 11.11m/s

Using v = u + at

Or 11.11 = 16.66 + a X 5

==> a = 83.3m/s
