9.10 am to 5.40 pm = 8.5 hours

5.40 pm to 9.10 pm = 3.5 hours

Find the distance traveled in the first part of the journey:

Speed = 152 km/h

Time = 8.5 hours

Distance = 152 x 8.5 = 1292 km

Find the speed for the second part of the journey:

Speed increase = 5% of 152 km/h

Speed increase = 0.05 x 152 = 7.6 km/h

Speed = 152 + 7.6 = 159.6 km/h

Find the distance traveled in the second part of the journey:

Speed = 159.6 km/h

Time = 3.5 hours

Distance = Speed x Time

Distance = 159.6 x 3.5 = 558.6 km

Find the total distance:

Total distance = 1292 + 558.6 = 1850.6 km

Answer: The total distance traveled is 1850.6 km

hey!

here is answer

car starts at 9:10 am
and departs 5:40 pm

time=8.5 hours.

distance = speed* time

speed= 152km/h

time=8.5h

distance=152*8.5

=1292km

then

start at 5:40 pm and departs at 9:10pm

hence time=3.5 hour.

distance=speed*time
speed=5% of 152

= 5% of 152

0.05*152

=7.6 km
hence
speed= 152+7.6

159.6km/h

distance=159.6*3.5
558.6
total distance
=1292+558.6

1850 km

hope it helps.
thanks
