A car falls off a ledge and drops to the ground in 0.5s.(Take g=10m/ssquare).Find the speed of the car on striking the ground.Find the average speed of the car in 0.5s. Find the height of the ledge from the ground.

u is 0
v=10x0.5
v=5m/s

s=ut+0.5(at^2)
s=0+0.5(10x0.25)
s=1.25m

Given :

Here, u = 0

t = 0.5s

and a= g = + 10 m/s²

i) Final speed of car when striking the ground :

v = u + at

= 0 + gt

= 10 × 0.5

= 5 m/s

ii) Average speed :

Vₐ  = u + v/2

= 0 + 5/2

= 2.5 m/s

iii) Height of the ledge = total distance covered by car

h = 1/2gt²

= 1/2 × 10 × ( 0.5)²

= 1.25m

ATLAST , FINAL ANSWERS WE GET  :

i ) 5 m/s

ii) 2.5 m/s

iii) 1.25m
