Answer:

given , u = 54km/hr, v = 72km/hr, t = 10 sec

to find a = ? s = ?

a = (v - u)/t

u = 54*5/18 = 15 m/sec, v = 72*5/18 = 20 m/sec

[ to covert speed from km/hr to m/sec, multiply by 5/8 ]

a = (20 - 15)/10

= 5/10

= 0.5 m/sec^2

now, s = avg speed * time

= (u + v)/2*t

s = (15 + 20)/2*10

s = 175 metres
