Given

  • Initial velocity (u) = 0
  • Final velocity (v) = 50km/h
  • Time taken (t) = 10s

Find out

  • Acceleration = ?

Solution

➾ Final velocity = 50km/h

➾ v = 50 × 5/18

➾ v = 13.8m/s

As we know that

➾ v = u + at

➾ 13.8 = 0 + a × 10

➾ 13.8 = 10a

➾ a = 13.8/10

➾ a = 1.38m/s²

Hence,

  • Acceleration of a car is 1.38m/s²

Additional Information

  • s = ut + ½ at² [2nd equation of motion]

  • v² = u² + 2as [3rd equation of motion]

GIVEN :-

•Initial velocity (u) = 0 m/s .

•Final velocity (v) = 50km/hr

•Time (T) = 10sec.

TO FIND :-

Acceleration = ?

SOLUTION :-

We know that,

=> km/hr = 1000/3600 = 10/36 = 5/18m/s .

=> .°. Final velocity (v) = 50km/hr

=> Final velocity (v) = 50 × 5/18

=> Final velocity (v) = 13.8m/s

Now, apply 1st equation of motion.

=> v = u + at

=> 13.8 = 0 × a × 10

=> a = 13.8/10

=> a = 1.38 m/s².

Therefore, the acceleration of car is 1.38 m/s².
