t = 0.8 s
Vo = 36 km/h = 36000 m/3600 s = 10 m/s
a = 5 m/s²
Vt = 0 m/s

The distance travelled in 0.8 s
s = Vo . t
s = 10 . 0.8
s = 8 m

Vt² = Vo² - 2as
0 = 10² - 2 . 5 . s
0 = 100 - 10s
10s = 100
s = 100 : 10
s = 10 m

Total distance
= 8 + 10
= 18 m
