A car is moving along a straight line say OP it moves from o to P in 18 second and returns from P to Q in 6.0 s. what are the average velocity and average speed of the car in (a)going from o to p and (b ) from o to P and back to q???​

Lets take distance from O to P as S and P to also as S .

From O to P ,

t = 18 sec

S = S

v = S / t = S / 18

Since S = 18 v ,

v = v

from o to P and back to o ,

V = S / t + T

V = 18v + 18v / 18+6

   = 36v / 24

   = 3v / 2
