A car is moving in a straight line with speed 18km/h. It is stopped in 5s by applying the brakes. Find : (i) the speed of car in m/s,(ii) the retardation and (iii) the speed of car after 2s of applying the brakes.

Given,
u = 18 km/h = 18*1000/60*6 = 5 m/s
v = o m/s
t = 5 sec
we know that ,
acceleration = v - u/t
= 0 - 5/5 = -1 m/s2
=retardation
again,
2as = v2- u2
=> 2*-1*s = 0 - 25
=> -2s = - 25
=> s = 12.5 m
(s is distance)
now,
speed = distance/time
= 12.5/5
= 5/2
= 2.5 m/s
also given that,
t = 2 sec, s = 12.5 m
:. speed= s/t
= 12.5/2
= 125/20
= 25/4
= 6.25 m/s
now i have given u the correct answer so please mark me as brainliest please! please!please!
