A car is moving with a speed of 25m/s on a circular path of radius 50m. Its speed is increasing at the rate of 4m/s. Find the resultant acceleration.

at=3m/s2

v=20m/s

r=100m

Centripetal acceleration, 

ac=rv2

ac=10020×20=4m/s2

The resultant acceleration, 

a=(at)2+(ac)2

a=(3)2+(4)2=25=5m/s2
