A car is moving with a unifrom velocity of 10 m s-1. The drive of the car decided to overtake a bus moving ahead of the car. so the driver of the car accelerates at 1 m s-2 for 10 seconds. Find the velocity of the car at the end of 10seconds.Also travelled by thr car while acceleration.​

u = 10 m/sec

a = 1 m/sec²

t = 10 secs

final velocity = v= ?

v = at + u

= (1 m/.sec² x 10 sec) + 10 m/sec

= 10 m/s + 10 m/sec

= 20 m/sec

so, final velocity = 20 m/sec

now, for calculating distance traveled by

the car during accelerating :

u = 10 m/sec

t = 10 sec

a = 1 m/sec²

distance traveled = ut + 1/2 × at²

= 10 x 10 + 1/2 x 1 x 100

= 100 + 50

= 150 m

so, distance traveled during accelerating is 150 m.
