A car is moving with a velocity of 20m/s. the car is brought to rest by applying brakes in 6 seconds. find (i)retardation (ii)distance travelled by the car after applying the brakes.

t= 6s
(i)retardation = v-u/t
-20/6= -3.33m/s^2
ii s = v^2 - u^2 /2a
= 0-400/ 2×-3.33
-200/-3.33
distance = 200/3.33
