Initial Velocity : 72 km/h = 20 m/s

Final Velocity : 0 km/h = 0 m/s

Time taken : 10 s

Final velocity = Initial velocity + acceleration × time

0 m/s = 20 m/s + a × 10 s

20 m/s = a × 10 s

a = (20 m/s)/(10 s)

a = 2 m/s²

Distance = ut + ½at²

s = 20 \: m {s}^{ - 1}  \times 10 \: s +  \frac{1}{2}  \times 2 \: m {s}^{ - 2}  \times  {(10 \: s)}^{2}

s = 200 \: m +  \frac{1}{2}  \times 2 \: m {s}^{ - 2}   \times 100 \:  {s}^{2}

s = 200 \: m + 100 \: m

s = 300 \: m
