A car is travelling along a road at 8m/s . It accelerate at 1m/s square for a distance of 18m . How fast it is then travelling.

ANSWER:-

It is given that ,

Initial velocity ( u ) = 8m/s

Acceleration ( a ) = 1m/s^2 and

Distance ( S ) = 18 m

By using the equation , 2as = v^2 - u^2

Now , putting values of s , u , and a in the equation

2 × 1 × 18 = v^2 - 64

36 = v^2 - 64

36 + 64 = v^2

100 = v^2

Now , we don't want the value of v^2 but v . Hence , for that we do Square Rooting Both sides

√100 = √v^2

10 = v
