Given:-

  • Initial velocity ,u = 20km/h = 20×5/18 = 100/18m/s

  • Final velocity, v = 60km/h = 60×5/18 = 300/18 m/s

  • Time taken ,t = 6s

To Find:-

  • Acceleration ,a

Solution:-

Using 1st equation of motion

• v = u +at

Substitute the value we get

→ 300/18 = 100/18 + a×6

→ 300/18 -100/18 = a×6

→ 200/18 = a × 6

→ a = 200/108

→ a = 1.85m/s²

Therefore, the acceleration of the car is 1.85m/.

Additional Information!!

Some equation of motion are

• v = u +at

• s = ut +1/2at².

• v² = u² + 2as

Here,

v is the final velocity

u is the initial velocity

a is the acceleration

s is the displacement or Distance

t is the time taken
