To find : distance it covers in 12 min.

Therefore,

we have to first convert 50km/h into m/s

To convert Km/hr to m/s :-

1 km = 1000m

1 hr = 3600 second

1000/3600 = 5/18 m/s

multiply it with 5 and divide by 18

50 × 5 /18 = 250/18 = 125/9 m/s

Now, the car covers 125/9m distance in 9s.

12 min = 12 × 60 sec = 720sec.

Distance it covers in 720 sec = 125/9 × 720

- unitary method.

= 10,000m Answer!!

Note :- In alternative method, You can simply convert 12 min into hours and then can use unitary method to get your answer. Both are finely correct answer.
