A car moves 30 km in 30 min and the next 30km in 40 min. Find average velocity of the car in m/s.

yash87994489: 60km/hr
yash87994489: average velocity is total distance travelled/total time taken
yeshwanth223645: procedure
yash87994489: first covert the time into hr i.e 30min =1/2hr and 40min=2/3hr
yash87994489: total distance is 70km
yash87994489: total time is 1/2+2/3=7/6
yash87994489: divide them we will have the ans

average velocity=(total distance)/total time

total distance=(30+40)km=70000m

total time=(30+40)min=(70×60) second

=70000/70×60

=100/6

=16.667m/s
