Answer :

  • Total distance covered by car is 25km

Given :

  • A car moves at a speed of 40 km/h for 15 minutes and then at a speed of 60 km/h for the next 15 minutes

To find :

  • Total distance covered by the car

Solution :

Given that,

  • car' speed is 40km/h
  • Time is 15 minutes = 0.25 hours

As we know that :

  • Distance = speed × time

● 40 × 0.25

● 10km

Given that,

  • car's speed is 60km/h
  • Time is 15 minutes = 0.25 hrs

As we know that :

  • Distance = speed × time

60 × 0.25

● 15km.

Now we have to find the total distance coverd by car :

● (10 + 15)km

● 25km

Hence Total distance covered by car is 25km
