A car moves with a speed of 40 km/h for 15 minutes and then with a speed of
60 km/h for the next 15 minutes. Find the total distance covered by the car in
these 30 minutes.

Speed1 = 40km/h

Time1 = 15 min

15min = 15/60 = 1/4 h

So distance1 = speed * time

40 km/h * 1/4h

= 10 km

Speed2 = 60 km/h

Time2 = 15 min

15min = 15/60 = 1/4 h

So distance2 = speed * time

60km/h * 1/4h

= 15km

So now total distance = Distance1 + Distance2

10km + 15km

= 25km
