speed=40km/hr
time=15 mins = 0.25 hrs
Therefore distance=speed×time
40×0.25=10 km
Now,
speed =60km/hr
time=15 mins = 0.25 hrs
therefore distance=s×t
60×0.25=15 km
Hence, total distance travelled = 10+15=25 km

Speed for 1st 15 min= 40km/hr

Time= 15min

Distance covered(d1)=Speed×time

=40×(15/60)

=40×(1/4)

=10km

Speed for next 15 min=60km/he

Time= 15min

Distance covered(d2)= speed×time

=60×(15/60)

=60×(1/4)

=15km

Total distance travelled= d1+d2

=10km+15km

=25km
