40/60 (of an hour) x 30 k/hr = 20 km

50/60 x 60=50 km

1 x 30 =30 km

add those together and you went 100km

40 min+50min+60min = 150 min = 150/60 hr

velocity = distance/time = 100/(150/60)= 100 x 60/150 =6000/150 = 40 km/hr
