a car moves with a speed of 50 km h for 10 minutes and then with a speed of 60 km h for the next 10 minutes find the total distance covered by the car

Answer:

Speed of a car for first 10 minutes = 50 km/hr

Distance covered = speed x time

Distance covered = 50 x 10/60

                              = 8.33 km

Speed of a car in next 10 minutes = 60 km/hr

Distance covered = 60 x 10/60

                              = 10 km

∴ Total distance covered = (8.33+10)km

                                          = 18.33 km

18.33 km is correct
