A car moving in a circular path of diameter 80 m, completes 8 rounds. Calculate the total distance and displacement of a car.

Diameter = 80metres

Radius =40 metres

Circumference = 2 X pi X r

=> 2 X 3.14 X 40

=251.32 metres

8 rounds = circumference X 8

=> 251.32 X 8

= 2010.6 metres

Displacement is the maximum distance travelled in the straight line

But after 8 rounds the car returns to the starting point and hence the displacement is 0 metres
