Explanation:

2km = 2000m

Then speed of car is,

speed= distance/time

= 2000m/100sec

= 20 m/sec.

As the motion is straight line motion so, speed and velocity are the same. But in velocity we muat specify the direction i.e, velocity is 20 m/sec due east.
