It Depends On The Time Taken by the car to stop .

You will have use the formula

v = u + at
0 = u -5 t
5t=u

When you know the time , Or if you know the distance ,

0² = u² - 20s
u²= 20s

7Maybe the question is in complete or if it is complete then it would depend on time that what was the initial velocity of the car.
the more it takes to stop more will be the initial velocity. :)
as v = u + a(t).

similarly it depends on the distance covered during stopping.
the more distance more will be it's initial velocity.
as v^2 - u^2 = 2a(s). :)
