Answer:

u

Explanation:

u = 10m/s

a = 4 m/S2

t = 5s

using Newton's equition of motion

v= u + at

v = 10+4*5

= 10+20 = 30m/s

Answer:-

To Find: Average velocity of the particle.

Given:-

  • Initial velocity (u) = 10 m/s
  • Acceleration (a) = 4 m/
  • Time taken (t) = 5 s

We know,

  • a = (v - u)/t
  • Avg. velocity = (v + u)/2

Finding final velocity:-

(v - 10 m/s)/(5 s) = 4 m/s²

→ 5[v/5 - 2 m/s]/(5 s) = 4 m/s²

→ v/5 - 2 m/s = 4 m/s

→ v/5 = 4 m/s + 2 m/s

→ v/5 = 6 m/s

→ v = (6 m/s)(5)

v = 30 m/s

NOW, average velocity:-

(v + u)/2

= (30 m/s + 10 m/s)/2

= (40 m/s)/2

= 20 m/s ...(Answer)
