Using equations of motion-

• S = ut + (1/2) at²

• v² = u² + 2aS

Using the formula, S = ut + (1/2) at²

→ 100 = 10(5) + (1/2) a(5)²

→ 100 = 50 + (25a/2)

→ 200 = 100 + 25a

→ 100 = 25a

→ 4 = a

Hence,

→ v² = u² + 2aS

→ v² = 10² + 2(4)(100)

→ v² = 100 + 800

→ v² = 900

→ v = 30 m/s
