Explanation:

F = m(v-u)/t

= 2400(35-10)/25

=2400×25/25

=2400

Force was of 2400 Newton

Answer:

The mass of the car = 2400 kg

The velocity of the car initially = 10 m/s

The time for which the force was applied = 25 sec

The final velocity = 35 m/s

We need to find the magnitude of force applied.

We know that, v = u + at.

⇒ 35 = 10 + a*25

⇒ 35 - 10 = 25a

⇒ 25 = 25a

⇒ a = 25/25

⇒ a = 1 m/s²

Hence, Acceleration = 1 m/s².

And We are already given : Mass = 2400 kg

Hence, Force applied = Mass × Acceleration

⇒ F = ma

⇒ F = 2400 × 1

⇒ F = 2400 kg m/s²

⇒ F = 2400 N

Hence, The Magnitude of the Force applied on the car for 25 seconds which changed the velocity of the car from 10 m/s to 35 m/s = 2400 N.
