A car runs in a race along a circular path of radius 7m and reaches a diametrically
opposite end in 2s. Calculate the speed and velocity of car in m/s? (step by step explanation please)​

Explanation:

radius of circular path , r = 7 m

calculating speed :

car cover half the distance of circular path in 2 s

distance = pie * r = 22/7 *7 =  22 m

speed = distance/time = 22/2 = 11 m/s

calculating velocity :

displacement cover by object in 2 s is equal to its diameter because the displacement is a vector quantity which have magnitude as well as direction

so, displacement = 14 m

velocity = displacement/time = 14/2 = 7 m/s
