A car speed is 90kmph and it get decrease to 36kmph in 5 sec so how much distance the car covered in 5 sec

Mayur1910: Give me answer plz
Mayur1910: Elaborate plz how we get u and v
Mayur1910: Plz
07161020: u is initial velocity which is given in question as 90kph
07161020: v is final velocity which is given in questions as 36kph
07161020: Since they are in kph so convert them by multiplying by 5/18
07161020: v=u+at______FIRST LAW OF MOTION
07161020: Therefore a=v-u/t
Mayur1910: Thank

a=v-u/t
54/5=3m/s^2
s=ut+1/2(at^2)
s=125-75/2
=125-37.5
=82.5m

07161020: Only applicable for velocity
07161020: So Sorry
07161020: 90*5/18=25mps
07161020: 36*5/18=10mps
07161020: 25-10/5=3mps^2
07161020: Thats the actual method
07161020: I did it in short by simply converting acceleration from kmph^2 to mps^2
07161020: Welcome and plz maek as brainliest
Mayur1910: Thank you and explain 3 line detail as s=125-75/2
07161020: Accept my frnd request i will explain in detail in pesonal chat

90 kmph = 90 * 5/18 m/s = 25 m/s
36 kmph = 36 * 5/18 m/s = 10 m/s

a = (v - u) / t
= (10 - 25) / 5
= -3 m/s^2

S = ut + 0.5at^2
= 25*5 + 0.5*(-3)*5^2
= 87.5 m

Distance travelled by car in 5s is 87.5 m
