- Car starts from Rest i.e Initial velocity is 0m/s
- Final velocity (v) = 15 m/s
- time = 3 min = 180 sec
✠To find:-
- Distance covered by the body
✠SoLuTiOn :-
Firstly we find the acceleration of the body We know that
⟶ Acceleration = v-u /t
- a = accelartion
- v = final velocity
- u = initial velocity
- t = time taken
✠Substituting the values :-
⟶ a = 15 - 0/ 180
⟶ a = 15/180
⟶ a = 3/36
✠a = 1/ 12 m/s²
We know that from equations of motion ,
v² - u² = 2as
- v = final velocity
- u = initial velocity
- a = accelartion
- s = Distance covered
⟶ (15)² - (0)² = 2 × 1/ 12 × s
⟶ 225 = s/6
⟶ s = 225× 6
✠s = 1350m
So,the distance covered is 1350m
