Answer:

The distance between the car and starting point is 130.05 Kms

Given:

A car starts from a point a and travels 32 kms towards north the car then turns towards east and travels 72 kms more it again turns towards north and travels 18 kms finally its towards east and travels 48 kms more

To find:

What is the distance between the car and starting point

Solution:

Applying pythogoras theorem,

(32)^2 + (72)^2 = x^2

x = \sqrt{6208} = 78.79

y^2  = (18)^2 + (48)^2

y = 51.26

total distance = 78.79 + 51.26 = 130.05

Result:

The distance between the car and starting point is 130.05 Kms
