 A car starts from rest, accelerates uniformly and attains a velocity of 20 m/s with in 50 metres. Find acceleration.​

v^{2} -u^{2} =2as

Given ;-

s = 50 m,

initial velocity (u) = 0m/s (rest),

final velocity (v) = 20m/s,

so,

20^{2} -0^{2} = 2a(50)

400-0= 100a

400= 100a

a= 400 ÷ 100

a = 4m/s^{2}.

Hence, acceleration of the car = 4m/s^{2}.
