- 2. for the first case the acceleration =2 metre / second ²
The time taken by the body in acceleration= 10s
So the velocity v= at ,since the body starts from rest and initial velocity is zero
V= 10x2= 20meter/ second.
- The distance during first part = 1/2 at²= 1/2 x 2x 10² = 100 meters.
During the second part , the distance covered,= S= vt , change the acceleration is zero
- S= 20x 10= 200meters
During the third part the distance covered= v²/2A , since the acceleration is negative here.
- So,the distance covered in 3rd party is equal to= 20²/ 2x1 = 200meter
- Hence the total distance covered by the car is equal to= 200+100+200= 500meter.
