Question:-

A car starts from rest and attains a speed of 40 km/h after 10 s. Calculate the acceleration of the car in km/h sq.

Answer:-

Given,

  • A car starts from rest [ u = 0 ] and reaches to a velocity of 40 km/h after 10 sec.

We have to use the first equation of motion to find the acceleration:-

u = 0 ; v = 40 km/h ; t = 0.00277778 sec ; a = ?

v = u + at

40 = 0 + 0.002777a

40 = 0.002777a

a = 40/0.002777

a = 14404.033
