Given :-

A car takes 2 hours to reach a destination by travelling  at the speed of 60km/h.

To Find :-

Time required to when the  car travels at the speed of 80km/h.

Analysis :-

Consider the number of hours as a variable.

Since, the speed of car and time are in inverse proportion make an equation.

Finally, get the value of the variable.

Solution :-

Here the speed of car and time are in inverse proportion.

According to the question,

\sf \dfrac{60}{80} =\dfrac{x}{2}

\sf 60 \times 2 = 80x

By transposing,

\sf x=\dfrac{60 \times 2}{80}

\sf x=\dfrac{3}{2} =1\dfrac{1}{2} \ hours

Therefore, the car travels 1 1/2 hours at the speed of 80km/h.
