Time ---2hours Speed ---60 km/hr Dist =speed ×time =2×60 =120kms When speed 80 km/hr T=D/S =120/80 =1.5 hours =1hour and 30 minutes

It is given that a car takes 2 hours to reach the destination with a speed of 60km/hr Let it take x hours to reach the destination with a speed of 80 km/hr

It is a case of inverse proportionality(as here, if speed increases then time decreases and if speed decreases the time increases)

So 60 x 2 =80 X x (because x1y1=x2y2)

therefore x= 60 x 2/80 =3/2 hrs=1 1/2 hrs
