answer is 2000,we know impulse =mass*change in velocity
30,000=mass*(20-5)
30,000/15=mass
2000=mass so answer is 2000

Given that,

Initial speed of car, u = 20 m/s

Final speed of a car, v = 5 m/s

Impulse, J = 30,000 kg-m/s

To find,

The mass of the car.

Solution,

The change in momentum of an object is equal to the impulse delivered to it. If m is the mass of the car. Then,

J=m(v-u)\\\\m=\dfrac{J}{(v-u)}\\\\m=\dfrac{30000}{(20-5)}\\\\m=2000\ kg

So, the mass of the car is 2000 kg.
