==============================

A car travel 100km at speed of 60km/h

so the time = d/s

                     = 100/60

                       = 5/3 hour

it returns 100 km
with speed of 40km/h

=>
 time = d/s

                     = 100/40

                       = 5/2 hour

=> average speed =  total distance / total time

  the total distance is  100 +100km

 =>200km

and the total time is 5/3 +5/2

 =>25/6 hr [lcm]

=>average speed  =  \frac{200}{25/6}

                               =  \frac{200*6}{25}

                               = 8*6

                                = 48 kmph
